Biography
The German-Argentine soprano Maria-Teresa Martini was given solo roles in the Munich Madrigal Choir at a young age. Since beginning her vocal studies, her activities have included many concert evenings and events. In 2019 she successfully completed her Bachelor of Music at the HfM Würzburg with KS Prof. Jochen Kupfer and in 2022 her Master of Music Opera Singing at the HMT Leipzig with Prof. Caroline Stein. In 2015, she won the sponsorship prize in the »Armin Knab Competition«, was a scholarship holder of the Richard Wagner Association Würzburg-Unterfranken e. V. in 2019, a finalist in the »Albert Lortzing Competition« in 2020 and 2022 and was sponsored by the Deutschlandstipendium at the HMT Leipzig in 2020/21. On stage, she has already sung roles such as Julia de Weert in »Der Vetter aus Dingsda« at Theater Rudolstadt as well as Hannchen in »Der Vetter aus Dingsda«, Oberto in »Alcina« and Sie in »Die Nacht eines Nerasthenikers« at Theater Bibrastraße. Her repertoire also includes lieder and sacred music. She sang the soprano solo in Mendelssohn's »Lobgesang« and »Psalm 95« at the Leipzig Gewandhaus. She also appeared at the Alee Theater in Hamburg as Gretel in »Hänsel und Gretel«, 1st Lady and 1st Boy in »Die Zauberflöte« and Pamina in »Die kleine Zauberflöte«.
Maria-Teresa Martini made her debut at the Musikalische Komödie in the 2022/23 season as Pollie Miller/Teje in »Princess Nefertiti«. In 2025, she will take on the role of Juliane von Reckenburg in »Die Juxheirat«.
