Biography
The Argentinian baritone Hernán Atilio Vuga began his vocal and piano studies at the Manuel de Falla Conservatory in Buenos Aires, was part of the opera studio at the Teatro Argentino de La Plata and studied at the Instituto Superior de Arte of the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. Barítono has sung at the Teatro Colón, the Teatro Argentino de La Plata and the Teatro Avenida, among others, and has performed roles such as Gianni Schicchi, Onegin (Eugene Onegin), Count Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro), Guglielmo (Così fan tutte), Parmenione (L'occasione fa il ladro) and Sam (Trouble in Tahiti). Most recently he has appeared as Papageno (Die Zauberflöte), Tod (Savitri), Don Giovanni, Don Magnifico (Cinderella) and Kaspar (Der kleine Freischütz).
Hernán has taken part in national and international competitions. In 2020, he won the competition for opera singing organised by the Concerto Foundation in the male voice category in Würzburg as well as the Bienal Juvenil Shell competition and the American Society Competition »Alejandro Corderoin« Buenos Aires. Two years in a row he was invited to the Competizione dell'Opera in Linz as a semi-finalist.
He has been a guest choir member at the Musikalische Komödie since 2025.
