The reservation time for ordered tickets is 10 days starting from the reservation date. After this period the reservation expires.
European guidelines are changing to make online card payments even safer. For orders placed after January 1st, 2021, you will be asked to verify yourself through 3D Secure. This will be marked depending on the type of card you use (e.g. Visa Secure, Mastercard Identity Check or American Express SafeKey).
What should I do?
If you have not already done so, you should activate your card for 3D Secure. Most banks offer this service online. You can find this out on your bank's website.
If you have already registered for 3D Secure or used the function before, you do not have to register again. However, your bank could set up a new payment process to improve usage. Some banks have designed a new smartphone app specifically for this purpose. Please contact your bank for more information.
To ensure that you can easily and securely pay for your next order, we recommend that you activate 3D Secure before your next online order.
The following discounts are available for perfoemances in the large halls of the Opera House and the Musikalische Komödie:
On family days, special conditions apply for families with up to four adults and at least one child. On these days, adults pay 16 EUR each and children up to 16 years of age pay 11 EUR each at the Opera House and the Westbad.
These are determined by the organiser and normally include a booking fee.

Your personalised Oper Leipzig Card is valid for Oper Leipzig's own events in the main auditorium of the Opera House and the Musikalische Komödie for one season (except for premieres, guest performances, events with special prices, in the last seating groups and on 25 / 26 and 31 Dec 2024).
With the Oper Leipzig Card, you receive a 20% discount on up to two tickets per performance.

The personalised Junge Oper Leipzig Card entitles visitors up to the age of 28 to purchase one remaining ticket at the box office for all in-house events in the main auditorium of the opera house and the Musikalische Komödie (except for guest performances, in the last seating groups, on 31 Dec and for special events). Please show your card at the entrance together with your ticket.
The Leipzig Card (Tourism card) grants you a 10% discount for approved performances at the Oper Leipzig in the Opera House and in the Musical Comedy Theater.

The Operncafé restaurant is located at the entrance to the Opera House. Whet your appetite for the evening’s performance with one of our culinary delights and an aperitif, or toast the show afterwards with a glass of sparkling wine. We have restaurant seating for 63 guests.
Reservations for intermissions can be made with the help of the staff in the restaurants and in the foyer. Orders for selected performances at the Opera House can also be made online.

The rooms of the restaurant Lortzing at the Musical Comedy. The theater restaurant offers seating and standing room for more than 80 people and a spacious bar area. The offer includes regional food and drinks. On request, you can reserve your seats.
