In 2025, Leipzig Ballet is once again inviting dance professionals and dance enthusiasts to experience the fascination of dance in the foyers of the opera house. UNESCO established World Dance Day in 1982 to honour dance as a universal language that transcends the boundaries of politics, culture and ethnicity.

Numerous ballet schools, clubs and studios present themselves on this day at 17:00 in the cloakroom hall of the opera house with a colourful programme of different styles and genres.
