Fairies, pirates, crocodiles – for many, the title »Peter Pan« evokes magical childhood memories and the dream of flying. The character Peter Pan originally gained recognition through various stories by the Scottish author J. M. Barrie. The children of an acquaintance, taken care of by Barrie after the death of their mother, served as inspiration for him. In 1997, George Stiles and Anthony Drewe created a captivating musical based on the timeless story of the boy who never wants to grow up, mesmerising people of all ages. With their catchy music and imaginative images, the creators of the musical »Mary Poppins« know how to wow audiences. Together with the orchestra of the Musikalische Komödie, the children's and youth choir is now bringing the play for the whole family to the stage in Leipzig.
