The classical music magazine concerti has announced the nominations for the 2022 Audience of the Year Award. Among them is the audience of Oper Leipzig. We would like to thank you very much for remaining loyal to us even in difficult times and thus making this nomination possible!

Our audience was nominated by concerti magazine as audience of the year 2022.

In addition to the Oper Leipzig, the Stuttgart State Opera, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Göttingen International Handel Festival and the International Bach Academy Stuttgart were also nominated by a jury of experts consisting of trade journalists and members of the industry. In addition, there are five other nominees selected by public voting: the Mozartfest Würzburg, the Dresden Music Festival, the Münster Theatre, the Landestheather Detmold and the Meininger Staatstheater.
At the beginning of March 2023, the jury chaired by Antje Weithaas will select the winner. The criteria evaluated are loyalty, enthusiasm, activities and structure. The prize is a surprise reception for all visitors to an opera evening as well as prize money for the organiser to promote young talent. Until then, keep your fingers crossed.
