Do you love acting and music? In our theater clubs we offer you the opportunity to try new things playfully and vocally.

Children 7 years of age or older, who enjoy music and movement can gain their first theater experience in our children's opera club. By playing games together, singing songs and doing theater exercises, we explore our body and voice as a means of expression. A stage play emerges from the ideas of the children, which we perform at the end of the playtime. The only prerequisite is the willingness to take part in regular rehearsals.

For teens between the ages of 16 and 25 who are crazy about games, dance enthusiasts and musically interested, there is a youth theater club at the Musikalische Komödie. Under the direction of theater educator Christina Geißler, they'll deal intensively with the most diverse forms of theater, try out their own modes of representation for their topics and ultimately bring them to performance.

The musical youth theater club rehearses weekly, previous knowledge is not required, only the desire to try new things out and participate regularly. Since the number of participants is limited, it is necessary to register with Ms. Geißler at christina.geissler@oper-leipzig.de.

Playful adults between their late 50s and mid 80s meet for rehearsal. During this time they improvise small game scenes, work on their expressiveness and sing together. The joy of acting and music is the focus of the joint work. At the end of the season, the participants present a stage play. You will be guided by the musical theater teacher Romy Sarakacianis.
