Biography
Born in Leipzig in 1965, he later remained loyal to the city and founded the Leipziger Funzel cabaret theatre together with his brother Tobias in 1990, which he ran until 2023; the cabaret theatre closed its doors at the end of 2023. In 1993, his face first appeared in the cinema film »Go, Trabi go«. Since then, he has appeared in 34 television and film productions and 4 cinema films, including Michael »Bully« Herbig's box office hit »(T)Raumschiff Surprise – Periode 1«. Thorsten Wolf has appeared as head animal keeper Conny Weidner in the ARD series »Tierärztin Dr Mertens« since 2006. Since 2022, he has been offering individual guided tours of the Leipzig city pool and wildlife park. During these humorous tours, guests learn a lot about these Leipzig sights and their history as film locations.
Thorsten Wolf can be seen as the frog in »Die Fledermaus« at the Musikalische Komödie from October 2024.
