Ines Lex

Biography

Was born in Baden-Württemberg. She studied voice at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart as well as at the Royal Academy of Music in London. She is the winner of numerous competitions. She was a member of the Ensemble at the Landestheater Innsbruck through the 2009/10 season. She appeared in »Der Ring des Nibelungen«, a co-production of the Oper Halle and the Theaters im Pfalzbau Ludwigshafen, als Woglinde (»Das Rheingold« / »Götterdämmerung«), Gerhilde (»Die Walküre«), and the Waldvogel (»Siegfried«). She is a regular face at the Händel-Festspiele in Halle. Guest engagements have led her to the Staatstheater Nürnberg, the Nationaltheater Weimar, the Staatstheater Darmstadt, the Theater Hof, the Theater Ludwigshafen, the Anhaltisches Theater Dessau, as well as the Schlossfestspielen Ludwigsburg, and the Haydn-Festival im Schloss Augustusburg Brühl. She has previously appeared at the Oper Leipzig as Gretel in »Hänsel und Gretel« and as Gerhilde in »Der Ring an einem Abend«. She bows during the 2021/22 season as Gerhilde in »Die Walküre«.
