Biography
Graduate of the Mozarteum Salzburg and winner of the Nestroy Prize (for the production »Woyzeck«). Began his theatre career in 1985 as an assistant at the Vienna Burgtheater. Since 1986 freelance stage designer with directors such as Richard Olivier, Matthias Davids, Kim Duddy, Thomas Birkmeir, Markus Kupferblum and Michael Schottenberg in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and England. Designs and installations have been created for the Schönbrunn Summer Night Concert, the Swarovski Crystal Worlds, the Mozarthaus and the Centre Georges Pompidou, among others. Since 2005 he has been in charge of the Volkstheater in the districts as head of design. 2015 Realisation of Austria's contribution to the exhibition at the Expo in Milan. Stage design for musical productions such as »My Fair Lady«, »Kiss me, Kate«, »Jesus Christ Superstar«, »Grease«, »Miss Saigon« und »Hairspray«, including at the St. Gallen Theatre and the Kiel Theatre, as well as for the world premiere of »Around the World in 80 Days« at the Landestheater Linz. Stage design for the world premiere of »Hello! Again?« at the Musikalische Komödie.
